菠蘿麵包Pineapple Bun is a new play by Howard Dai.
Revolving around a bakery in Taipei, the protagonist must confront their diasporic guilt as they visit their hometown.
It is a study in nostalgia.
A poem to the moon.
A lottery.
A legend.
A tribute.
A futile gesture.
A testament of blind faith.
A celebration of everyday hope.

A public presentation of excerpts as part of the DBLSPK series on Jan 29, 2022. In-person and online streaming options available. Free. Co-produced by rice & beans theatre and PuSh International Performing Arts Festival. More info here.
