Little tinkles on the cymbals is my signature move. Pretty rusty on the kit - trying to get it back into my body! Also recently became obsessed with @paramore 😅 Saw 15 shows in the last two weeks! Thank you @pushfestival and @theatre_replacement & @company605 's Hold On Let Go for the vibrant and jam-packed programming! Quick lil trip to Toronto. STORY TIME (this is a long one, strap in). It was 2011. I was 14 years old. It was my second year in Canada and I had just discovered theatre. One of the first things I did was join @thecultch IGNITE youth panel, and through it I got to take a three-day PodPlay workshop hosted by then-Artistic-Producer of @neworldtheatre, none other than Adrienne Wong @awongonline . We learned a bit about the project and form, and got a chance to make our own lil PodPlay around the block at Victoria Drive and Venables. I loved it. It blew my mind. I'm an actor! I'm for hire!! Hire me!!! A late thank you post for a month of workshop and presentations of Dream Machine. Thank you @rumbletheatre and @riceandbeanstheatre for believing in this work. Thank you to my brilliant collaborators who are the lifeline of this show; for buying in to my silly ideas and injecting so much joy and play into the piece.
